MARCON offers a variety of programming, a Masquerade, Dance, Art Show, Concerts, Children's Programming, Film and Video, Costuming, and Fan Club oriented seminars - everything from fact to fancy and fun!
Panels: Marcon offers more programming than some Worldcons, usually well over 150 panels and events in 48 hours! We use a 90 minute panel period. This means you not only get longer panels, but also a longer time between panels to talk with friends or just see more of the con! Full tracks of literary, art, children's, costuming, fan, filk, film, media, and science, ranging from serious to not-so-serious! Look for special events and exhibits like you won't see anywhere else!
Masquerade Contest: Costumers can strut their stuff at the Marcon Masquerade Saturday evening (we follow the International Costumers Guild rules). A world-class facility with excellent technical support for YOU!
Art Show and Sale: See and Buy! - Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, prints, and other unique art forms by some of the best SF & Fantasy artists in the country. Silent auction extending beyond the Masquerade Saturday night so YOU can have time to bid on your favorite art!
Dealers Room: Our dealers have costumes, jewelry, hand blown glass, collectibles, books, comics, music, games, and gaming supplies. Star Trek and B5 items, T-shirts, videos, buttons, stuffed animals, and artwork. You name it; Marcon's Dealers Room has it!
Filking: Experienced filkers know: Marcon has the best filking to be found at any regional convention. MUSIC - to laugh, cry, and love with!
Gaming: Role Playing Games, miniatures, war gaming, computer games, Live Action Role Playing, board games and card games, you name it, and you can find it in Marcon's 7000 square feet of gaming space.
Video: Marcon has TWO 24 hour video rooms. This doesn't even count the Hyatt in-house channel 12!
Hotel: Marcon takes place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. Room rates are $99 (plus tax) per night.
