What's a purple alert?
Well, it's like not as bad as a red alert, but a bit worse than a blue alert -- sort of a mauve alert.
Who: Marcon (Multiple Alternative Realities Convention)
What: The Midwest's Premiere Fantasy & Science Fiction Convention
When: May 22nd - 24th 2009 (Memorial Day Weekend)
Where: Hyatt Regency, Columbus OH
Why: Well, that's the easy part...Just for the fun of it!!

Directions to the Hoover Y Park: MapQuest Link

23 South to Rathmell Road, the first light south of I-270. Turn left. At the second light (Lockbourne Road), turn right. Go 1 mile, turn left onto Rohr Road. There is a little sign pointing down that road for the Y park. Go approximately 1.2 miles, turn left into the Hoover Y Park.

Broad Street Storage Facility, 111 Schofield, one block north of East Broad St, one block west of Hamilton, across from Pauls Restaurant, next to Data Alliance Systems.

 

Directions to the Northwest Library: MapQuest Link

From I-71 north of Columbus:

Take I-71 south to I-270 west to the next exit, which is State Route 315 north. At the first stop light, turn left onto Hard Road and follow it for approximately 2 miles. You will pass Worthington Kilbourne High School, drive under railroad tracks and finally come to Smoky Row Road. The Library is located about another half-mile from there and is on the right.

From I-71 south of Columbus:

Take I-71 north to I-270 west to the next exit, which is State Route 315 north. At the first stop light, turn left onto Hard Road and follow it for approximately 2 miles. You will pass Worthington Kilbourne High School, drive under railroad tracks and finally come to Smoky Row Road. The Library is located about another half-mile from there and is on the right.

Or you can take State Route 315 north. Once you have passed I-270 on the north side, the next stop light will be Hard Road, where you will turn left. Follow the directions from above.

From east of Columbus:

Take I-270 north to State Route 315 north. (It is the next exit after I-71.) At the first stop light on 315, turn left onto Hard Road and follow it for approximately 2 miles. You will pass Worthington Kilbourne High School, drive under railroad tracks and finally come to Smoky Row Road. The Library is located about another half-mile from there and is on the right.

From west of Columbus:

Go north on I-270 to the Sawmill Road exit. At the stop light, turn left and go about one-half mile north to Hard Road, then turn right. The Library is about one-half mile and is on the left.

 

Directions to the Karl Roard Library: MapQuest Link

The Karl Road Branch is located on the east side of Karl Rd.

From Dublin-Granville Road (SR 161): Go south at Karl Road for 2 traffic lights, the library is on the left side of the road.

From Morse Road: Go north on Karl Road, the library is 4 traffic lights north of Morse Road, the library is on the right side of the road.

From I-71: Exit at the Dublin-Granville Road (Route 161) and go east to Karl Road and turn right. Continue south on Karl Road for 2 traffic lights, the library is on the left side of the road. There is a traffic light at the driveway for the library.
